ROSALIA SCHOOL DISTRICT #320 1.0 FTE TITLE I/LAP & MIDDLE SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER Position: 1.0 FTE Certificated Teacher Assignment: .5 FTE Title I/LAP Teacher / .5 FTE Middle School Language Arts Teacher Reports To: Superintendent/Principal Terms of Employment: Full-time certificated position Starting Date: 2026–2027 School Year Open Until Filled POSITION SUMMARY Rosalia School District #320 is seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-centered educator for a combined 1.0 FTE Title I/LAP and Middle School Language Arts teaching position. Approximately .5 FTE of the position will provide targeted Title I/LAP academic intervention, with an emphasis on small-group literacy instruction, assessment, progress monitoring, and student support. The remaining .5 FTE will provide standards-aligned Middle School Language Arts instruction. The successful candidate will value strong relationships, effective instruction, collaboration, and the thoughtful use of student data to support academic growth. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Title I/LAP • Provide targeted small-group reading and literacy interventions based on student needs. • Use assessment and progress-monitoring data to identify students, plan instruction, and measure growth. • Implement evidence-based literacy interventions, including district-adopted resources such as UFLI when appropriate. • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, administrators, and other support personnel through the district's MTSS process. • Maintain student intervention, assessment, and progress-monitoring records. • Assist with district and state testing, Title I/LAP documentation, student identification, and required program reporting. • Communicate with families regarding student progress and available supports. • Assist with state and federal program responsibilities and grant-related activities as assigned. Middle School Language Arts • Plan and deliver effective Language Arts instruction aligned with Washington State Learning Standards. • Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical-thinking skills. • Establish clear learning objectives and maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment. • Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of academic and learning needs. • Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction. • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress with students and families. • Provide appropriate intervention and enrichment opportunities. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Build positive and respectful relationships with students, families, staff, and the school community.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s). • Ability to plan, deliver, and differentiate effective instruction. • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and administrators. • Successful completion of required fingerprinting and background clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preference will be given to candidates with: • Experience teaching in an elementary school setting. • Experience teaching intermediate-aged students, particularly grades 3–6. • Experience planning and delivering small-group reading or literacy interventions. • Knowledge and experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS). • Experience using assessment and progress-monitoring data to guide instruction. • Knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices and structured literacy interventions. • Experience with UFLI or similar intervention programs. • Experience working with Title I, LAP, or other state or federal student-support programs. • Experience teaching Middle School Language Arts. • Experience collaborating with general education, special education, intervention, and support staff.
